“We are pleased to come to the Twin Cities to share best practices in green infrastructure policy, design, research, products and services and to learn from regional efforts, ” said Steven W.Peck, GRP, Honorary ASLA, Founder and President, Green Roofs for Healthy Cities.  “The Twin Cities are known for innovation, particularly in regard to sustainable water management, a key benefit of widespread green infrastructure implementation,” he added.

“At the headwaters of the mighty Mississippi, St. Paul and Minneapolis have a unique opportunity to address important issues such as water quality, climate change adaptation, workforce development, and urban resiliency with green infrastructure technology,” said Michael Krause, Co-Chair of the Conference Advisory Committee and Co-Founder of the Green Infrastructure Foundation.“The effects of climate change are already greatly affecting the region. The Twin Cities are dealing with greater flooding and Minneapolis suffers from one of the worst Urban Heat Islands in the U.S., “he added.  Visit www.greytogreenconference.org for more information about Grey to Green Twin Cities.
