PCL Construction has officially begun construction of the new Guelph Transit and Fleet Services Facility, a major infrastructure project designed to support the City of Guelph’s long-term vision for a resilient and sustainable transportation network. The 280,000-square-foot facility will serve as a hub for storing, charging, and maintaining electric buses alongside municipal fleet vehicles, helping modernize transit operations and support fleet electrification initiatives. Working with prime consultant Stantec and Strasman Architects Inc., PCL will deliver a complex multi-building development that includes electric bus charging infrastructure, a fleet maintenance facility, administrative offices, a precast parking and storage structure, and a vehicular and pedestrian bridge.
