COMMAND Center Concrete Temperature and Maturity Meters

April 12th, 2020

The COMMAND Center concrete temperature and maturity system is used to measure and log concrete temperature history, calculate maturity, and evaluate in-place strength.

The system employs small, self-powered sensors placed in fresh concrete that automatically measure temperature data at predetermined intervals and store data internally. Data is retrieved from the sensors and analyzed with free COMMAND Center software, which can display temperature and temperature differential data, automatically provide calibrated maturity curves based on break data entered by the user, and calculate and display maturity and corresponding strength data of in-place concrete as it cures.

Construction teams use COMMAND Center to satisfy project requirements for temperature and/or maturity monitoring, expedite project schedules, increase safety, and improve construction methods. COMMAND Center is ASTM C1074 compliant.

COMMAND Center Wireless: How does it work?

April 12th, 2020

Transmit concrete temperature and maturity data wirelessly to an iOS app for iPhone, iPod, and iPad. COMMAND Center sensors connect to a reusable Sensor Reader Module (SRM) that transfers the data to the iOS app via Bluetooth or stores data locally for later transfer. SRMs have a long battery life and can transmit data about 30 feet, depending on the amount of interference between the SRM and iOS device. Leave the SRM connected to a sensor to view, analyze, and share sensor data in real-time, or, utilize the push-button download feature to collect data from multiple sensors and transfer to your iOS device later.

The iOS app can establish connections to multiple SRMs in one session, so an entire pour can be monitored easily and efficiently. Files created in the app are fully compatible with COMMAND Center for Windows software, allowing even more flexibility for your concrete temperature and maturity monitoring implementations.

COMMAND Center – Monitoring Concrete Expedites Schedules and Reduces Budgets

April 12th, 2020

Three quick case studies describe how concrete temperature and maturity monitoring has improved three projects.

To save time and money, improve quality and safety, and meet project requirements, construction teams track concrete temperature and maturity with concrete temperature and maturity meters. Monitoring concrete maturity helps construction teams know when their in-place concrete has reached adequate strength so they can safely move on the next phase of construction as soon as possible.

COMMAND Center concrete temperature and maturity monitoring has lowered budgets and accelerated construction schedules on hundreds of projects.

The COMMAND Center system includes state-of-the-art temperature sensors, a handheld device that allows you to read and analyze sensor data onsite, and comprehensive software. Each small, self-powered sensor arrives ready to track temperature, maturity, and strength right out of the box. Place concrete over the sensors, then use the COMMAND Center handheld device to view the sensors’ full temperature history and estimate strength at the job site.
