How to recognize and prevent heat-related illnesses

Heat stress is a serious occupational health hazard—it can lead to heat-related illness such as heat rash, heat cramps, heat exhaustion, or heat stroke.

You don’t have to work outside to experience heat stress—you can also overheat while working in confined spaces, basements, or any other indoor spaces without proper ventilation or air conditioning.
