Ontario Building Officials Association Inspectors Technique Suite

The Ontario Building Officials Association in partnership with RSM Building Consultants are proud to be bringing a new type of training on techniques for Building Inspections to promote an expedited learning curve for new Building Officials as Ontario Attempts to construct 1.5 million new dwellings units in the next 10 years.

Building Officials are in demand and are an integral part of the solution to more housing by providing inspections to ensure safe, durable and energy efficient buildings.

The problem, like in many other industries, is that there are simply not enough people currently skilled and qualified to complete these required inspections. Through the OBOA Inspectors’ Technique Suite we will provide a suite of five micro courses designed to focus on how an inspection should take place, what the inspector should be looking for, and how and how to relate information to contractors and homeowners.

The course will be offered in three formats: In person, virtual Instructor-led and virtual self-directed.
