The Associated Air Balance Council (AABC) has announced a new AIA-approved webinar in their TAB Talk series to take place on June 26, 2024, where the speakers will review the commissioning process from design to occupancy, emphasizing the Project Construction Team’s roles. They’ll cover Healthy and Safe building standards, including addressing disease transmission and atmospheric contaminants like mold, pollen, dust, smoke, and VOCs.

Learning Objectives

  • Explaining the process and intent of mitigating disease spread (not just COVID 19) within buildings.
  • Environmental systems and how they are the frontline to controlling VOC’s, wildfire smoke among other contaminants.
  • Minimizing exposures during construction, TAB, Cx and acceptance testing processes.
  • Principles behind “Building Flush” and possibilities to “Flush” beyond initial building acceptance due to atmospheric contaminants are always occurring.
