STACK Construction Technologies Combats Pricing Volatility with BNi Building News Cost Data Partnership

This week, STACK Construction Technologies announced its partnership with construction industry cost data experts BNi Building News. STACK’s best-in-class platform will integrate with BNi’s national and regional item cost data within its estimating solution. By embedding BNi’s materials and labor cost data in its estimating solution, contractors will be able to create accurate estimates optimized for their project location. This innovation comes at an advantageous time for contractors, as pricing volatility in the construction industry is causing uncertainty in the bid process in an industry with traditionally low margins.

“STACK provides contractors with the ability to generate accurate measurements and detailed estimates, but without access to cost information, a piece of the puzzle was missing,” said Phil Ogilby, CEO and Co-Founder at STACK. “The integration with BNi cost data will allow our customers to bid with even more confidence, knowing they’re using the most current regional pricing data.”

STACK continues to reinvest and deliver on its vision to become the industry’s go-to platform specifically for subcontractors. Contractors receive an added measure of protection with the ability to compare local supplier quotes to the regional cost data. Having immediate access to pricing helps set guidelines for conceptual estimating and eliminates data entry burden.

“Contractors can trust in BNi’s data and credibility. The STACK integration makes estimating a seamless process, with BNi’s database acting as a reference manual to augment what an estimator does,” said William Mahoney, BNi’s President and CEO.

Existing STACK customers can gain access to general BNi cost data through STACK’s Customer Success team at no additional cost.  Trade-specific packages are also available at an additional cost.

“As we expand our ecosystem, we look for the right relationships for STACK to help our customers’ business needs. Bill and his team are industry experts in cost data. BNi truly understands how to partner, and we’re thrilled to be working with them,” said Ray DeZenzo, Chief Operating Officer at STACK.
