Speakers at the RAIC’s Festival of Architecture announced – Register before June 30 and save

The Royal Architectural Institute of Canada is hosting its annual Festival of Architecture in Toronto, ON from October 26 to 30. It features a diverse line-up of architecture and design experts as special guests and speakers. Register today to hear their inspiring keynote addresses, and learn from industry leaders during the many continuing education sessions on offer.

Vishaan Chakrabarti, FAIA | Founder, PAU

Vishaan Chakrabarti is an architect and the founder of Practice for Architecture and Urbanism. He is an associate professor of practice at Columbia University’s Graduate School of Architecture, Planning & Preservation where he teaches architectural design studios and seminars on urbanism. Vishaan has lectured on the main stage of TED and has been profiled in the New York Times and the Financial Times. He has lectured widely across Europe, Asia, and the Americas.

 

 

Elizabeth Chu Richter, FAIA | CEO, Richter Architects

Elizabeth Chu Richter is the CEO of Richter Architects based in Corpus Christi, TX, and a past president of the American Institute of Architects. Richter Architects projects include a “living history” section of the National Museum of the Pacific War in Fredericksburg, TX. Elizabeth was the creator and co-producer of the radio show The Shape of Texas which covered architecture topics and was broadcast on NPR affiliate stations in Texas for 11 years.

 

 

Ivenue Love Stanley, FAIA | Managing Principal, STANLEY, LOVE-STANLEY, P.C.

Ivenue Love-Stanley is the president of Stanley Love-Stanley. The firm is one of the oldest African-American practices in the South and is responsible for many of Atlanta’s landmarks. Ivenue was the first African-American woman to graduate from the Georgia Institute of Technology College of Architecture in 1977. She was also the first African-American woman to become an architect in the American Southeast.

Renzo Piano Building Workshop

A representative from the office of Pritzker-Prize-winning architect Renzo Piano will deliver a keynote address at the RAIC College of Fellows and Syllabus Program Convocation on October 29.
