RONA presents $401,000 to the Fondation Charles-Bruneau for a cancer-free childhood

RONA inc., one of Canada’s leading home improvement retailers operating and servicing some 425 corporate and affiliated stores, donated $401,000 to the Fondation Charles-Bruneau as many of its employees participated in the Tour CIBC Charles-Bruneau, which took place from June 29 to July 5, 2024. For its ninth participation in the Tour, RONA was able to count on a team of 51 cyclists who collectively covered almost 5,000 km, in addition to seeking donations in their respective networks to help provide a healthy future for children in Québec.

“I’m extremely proud to see our teams’ commitment to this cause and the incredible work of the cyclists representing RONA. Congratulations to all and, above all, thank you for your involvement. This initiative is particularly heartfelt because it comes directly from our employees who, year after year, engage to bring hope to children with cancer in Québec and their families,” said J.P. Towner, President and CEO of RONA inc.

Amélie Savoie, Vice-President, Merchandising at RONA inc., and member of the RONA cycling team for the past 3 years, raised the most funds once again this year. “I’m delighted to be here today to see the fruits of our efforts over the last few months. It’s exciting to see that together, beyond the miles we cover, we can make a difference. Every year, our engagement not only helps children with cancer, but also ensures that the Fondation Charles-Bruneau’s mission will continue by inspiring the next generation. In fact, I’d like to point out that 20% of our cyclists are new initiates,” she declared at the Tour’s finish line.
