RONA has announced that its Lévis, Québec, store has been acquired by a group of local investors, marking a new chapter for the established home improvement and building supply retailer. The acquisition brings together experienced RONA affiliated dealers and business professionals committed to supporting the store’s long-term growth, strengthening customer service and expanding opportunities in the professional contractor market.
The new ownership group includes Jean-Philippe Proulx, Alex Robichaud, Stéphanie Roy and Audrey Frappier, who collectively bring expertise in hardware retailing, operations, finance, administration and insurance.
Two members of the new ownership group, Jean-Philippe Proulx and Alex Robichaud, are already established RONA affiliated dealers and owners of RONA Jos Proulx in L’Islet, Québec.
Proulx represents the third generation of his family’s business, continuing a longstanding tradition of serving customers and local communities through the RONA network.
Their experience operating an existing RONA location provides the new ownership team with an understanding of the company’s retail model, customer expectations and operational requirements.
Combined with the financial, administrative and insurance expertise of their investment partners, the group is positioned to support the Lévis store’s continued development.
The new ownership group has emphasized its commitment to maintaining the established service standards of the RONA Lévis location.
The investors intend to preserve continuity in the working conditions applicable to existing employees while supporting the store’s relationship with its customers and the surrounding community.
“We are proud to acquire the RONA Lévis store and open a new chapter for this well-established business in the community,” said Jean-Philippe Proulx, one of the new owners.
Proulx expressed confidence in the store’s potential, its experienced team and opportunities for future growth.
The ownership group plans to build on the store’s existing foundation, invest in its long-term development and continue serving customers undertaking home improvement and construction projects.
An important opportunity identified by RONA is the potential to strengthen the Lévis store’s professional contractor business.
Éric Provost, Senior Vice-President, RONA Affiliated Dealers, welcomed the acquisition and highlighted the benefits of the investors’ complementary experience and established business relationships.
According to Provost, the new owners are well positioned to drive growth in the Pro segment, improve operational efficiency and introduce innovative technological solutions.
The acquisition also presents opportunities to develop stronger connections between the Lévis location and other parts of the RONA business.
For construction contractors, renovation professionals and building industry customers, the ownership transition is intended to maintain access to established products and services while supporting future improvements.
The acquisition reflects the continued role of locally owned businesses within RONA’s affiliated dealer network.
By combining established retail experience with complementary business expertise, the new owners aim to strengthen the store’s position in the Lévis market.
Their priorities include maintaining customer relationships, supporting employees, improving operations and identifying opportunities for sustainable business growth.
RONA has expressed confidence that the ownership transition will benefit customers, associates and the surrounding community.
With experienced affiliated dealers joining forces with local investors, the RONA Lévis store enters its next chapter focused on continuity, operational improvements and expanded opportunities to serve homeowners and construction professionals throughout the region.
