RONA Foundation Launches 2026 Build from the Heart Campaign to Fund Housing Projects Across Canada

The RONA Foundation has announced the launch of its 2026 Build from the Heart campaign, reinforcing its commitment to improving housing accessibility and living conditions for vulnerable communities across Canada. The initiative, led by RONA inc., will officially begin on April 18, 2026, with a goal of raising and distributing $1 million to seven selected non-profit organizations.

This national campaign focuses on funding construction and major renovation projects that directly support individuals and families facing housing insecurity. Priority beneficiaries include victims of domestic violence and their children, low-income households, and individuals living with disabilities or mental health challenges. By addressing these needs, the program aims to create safer, more inclusive living environments while strengthening community resilience.

Funds for the 2026 campaign will be raised through a combination of customer engagement and corporate initiatives. From April 18 to May 31, customers shopping at RONA+ and RONA corporate stores, as well as online at rona.ca, will be invited to contribute through donations. Additionally, between April 18 and May 29, $5 from every major appliance purchase—featuring brands such as Samsung, LG, GE, Bosch, Electrolux, Whirlpool, and Midea—will be donated to the foundation. The fundraising efforts will culminate in the RONA Foundation’s Annual Golf Day on July 6, where vendor partners will further support the campaign.

Following a competitive application process that attracted more than 100 submissions, seven non-profit organizations were selected to receive funding for impactful construction and renovation projects across Canada. These include YWCA Banff (Alberta), Habitat for Humanity Victoria (British Columbia), Ka Ni Kanichihk (Manitoba), Youth Impact Jeunesse (Maritimes), Charity House Windsor (Ontario), Bureau de consultation jeunesse (Québec), and SOFIA House (Saskatchewan).

Each selected project addresses critical housing and social challenges within its region, delivering tangible improvements in safety, dignity, and quality of life. The final funding allocations for each organization will be announced on July 7, 2026.

As economic pressures continue to impact housing affordability and accessibility, the Build from the Heart campaign demonstrates how industry leadership, community partnerships, and targeted investment can drive meaningful change. By supporting innovative construction and renovation projects, the RONA Foundation continues to play a vital role in advancing sustainable, community-focused housing solutions across Canada.
