QuadReal Property Group has announced the appointment of Trevor Nakka to its Board of Directors, adding a seasoned global business leader with more than 30 years of experience in corporate strategy, governance, capital markets, financial reporting, and audit. The appointment reinforces QuadReal’s commitment to strengthening its leadership as the global real estate investment, development, and operating company continues to pursue long-term growth and value creation.
Nakka currently serves as Lead Client Service Partner at Deloitte, where he oversees client relationships and service delivery across the organization. He previously held the role of Global Leader of Assurance at Deloitte, leading a team of more than 6,000 professionals focused on advising chief financial officers and corporate controllers on complex accounting, financial reporting, controls, and operational matters. He also served on Deloitte’s Global Audit & Assurance Management Committee, helping guide strategy for a worldwide practice of more than 70,000 professionals.
According to Board Chair Scott Hutcheson, Nakka’s financial expertise, operational leadership, and global perspective will help accelerate QuadReal’s growth strategy while supporting disciplined execution and long-term stakeholder value. Nakka noted that QuadReal’s investment approach and focus on attracting high-quality strategic capital align closely with his professional experience and interests.
In addition to his Deloitte leadership roles, Nakka currently serves on the Board of Directors of Pathways to Education, where he is Treasurer and Chair of the Audit and Risk Committee. His previous board experience includes positions with Deloitte Canada, Deloitte U.S. (ex-officio), Alpine Canada, and WinSport Canada.
QuadReal was established in 2016 by the British Columbia Investment Management Corporation (BCI) to manage its real estate debt and equity programs. As of March 31, 2025, BCI managed approximately CAD $295 billion in gross assets, making it one of Canada’s largest institutional asset managers. Nakka’s appointment further strengthens QuadReal’s governance framework as the company continues to expand its global real estate investment platform.
