Planera Integrates with Autodesk Construction Cloud

Planera, a leading provider of construction Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling and planning solutions, has announced its integration with Autodesk Construction Cloud®. This collaboration marks a pivotal step towards enhancing project management efficiency by leveraging advanced technology and comprehensive insights.

Autodesk Construction Cloud® brings together a robust portfolio of software, services, and a builder’s network, powered by predictive insights to streamline construction projects. The integration with Planera’s innovative CPM-based scheduling software fosters a unified platform that boosts profitability and streamlines project execution.

For project teams, this means an elevated capability to construct, analyze, and refine construction schedules directly within the intuitive dashboards of Autodesk® Build Insights or BIM 360® Project Home. This integration is poised to redefine how contractors, engineers, and architects manage their project schedules by providing a harmonious solution that allows for simultaneous handling of construction schedules and other project management tasks.

Nitin Bhandari, CEO and co-founder of Planera, emphasized the significance of this integration, highlighting the elimination of the cumbersome process of toggling between different programs to manage construction schedules. This partnership aims to cater to a broader spectrum of construction professionals by offering a user-friendly and comprehensive planning solution.

Planera complements the Autodesk Construction Cloud by offering an array of easy-to-use scheduling and planning tools. These tools are designed to simplify project management tasks such as establishing an accurate work scope, developing baseline schedules, maintaining progress, and fostering collaborative planning efforts. With features like resource and scenario analysis, DCMA-14 quality checks, and risk analysis capabilities, Planera enhances schedule quality and promotes stronger team alignment.

James Cook, the director of integrations and technology partnerships at Autodesk, notes the common challenge of creating streamlined yet realistic schedules. By integrating Planera into the Autodesk Construction Cloud, project teams can now access and manage their comprehensive project schedules alongside critical project data, ensuring a more cohesive approach to project management.
