PCL Construction has promoted Ben Wagemakers to district manager of its Saskatoon District, bringing the Saskatchewan native back to the city where he began his PCL career as a student in 2005. Wagemakers has held leadership positions across PCL’s Saskatoon and Edmonton operations, most recently serving as operations manager for the Edmonton Buildings and Civil district. His experience includes major infrastructure and building projects such as Edmonton’s Metro Line LRT, Yellowhead Freeway Conversion and Lewis Farms Recreation Centre, along with initiatives integrating artificial intelligence into construction delivery. A civil engineering graduate of the University of Saskatchewan, Wagemakers is a registered professional engineer, LEED Accredited Professional and CCA Gold Seal-certified project manager. In his new role, he will lead PCL Construction’s Saskatoon operations with a focus on safety, innovation, operational excellence and client service. Wagemakers succeeds Mike Staines, who is transferring to PCL in Edmonton.
