Ontario Home Builders’ Association welcomes the industry to the 2018 annual conference

TORONTO, July 19, 2018 /CNW/ – The Ontario Home Builders’ Association returns to Canada’s capital for the OHBA 2018 Conference, September 23-25, 2018. Hosted by the Greater Ottawa Home Builders’ Association, delegates from across the province will enjoy three days of industry insight, professional networking and fun activities. Delegates will be welcomed at registration presented by Sunbelt Rentals and given all they need to participate in the conference, followed by a Board of Directors meeting and Canadian Mortgage and Housing Corporation update. The conference kicks off with an Opening Reception presented by Enbridge and hosted by the Greater Ottawa Home Builders’ Association. On September 24, the day begins with breakfast presented by Reliance Home Comfort™ and a first look at the latest innovations in the Builders’ Choice Exhibition. Other programs include the Annual Meeting of Members, an in-demand Climate Change Council panel talk and networking coffee breaks with Hydro One throughout the day. The keynote speaker Ray Zahab, an ultra-marathon runner and adventurer, presented by Blueprint Insurance Services, will motivate the crowd, followed by back-to-back sessions from Tarion Warranty Corporation and a panel discussion on the collaborative building approach within the City of Ottawa. The first evening gala will inaugurate the incoming 2018-19 OHBA President, at the President’s Gala Pre-Reception presented by Union Gas, President’s Gala Dinner presented by Cogeco, and President’s Gala Post-Reception presented by Enercare.

The final day of the conference will be full of networking and activities before the prestigious OHBA Awards of Distinction in the evening of September 25. To help celebrate Ontario’s best home building and professional renovation talent, guests will enjoy an Awards of Distinction Pre-Reception presented by Masco Canada, the Awards of Distinction Dinner co-presented by Rogers Communications Inc. and Federated Insurance, and Awards of Distinction Post-Reception presented by Moen.
