Ontario construction company fined $200,000 after worker dies from falling cement

 

 

As reported on CTV News, a construction company has been fined $200,000 after a worker was fatally crushed by a cement panel in Toronto, Ont.

Ontario’s Ministry of Labour says the incident took place in 2017 when an employee from J.N.D. Erectors Limited was transferring cement panels from a truck using a crane.

The ministry says one of the panels shifted and fell on top of the worker.
