METALCON has announced the inaugural METALCON 40 Under 40 honorees, recognizing 40 emerging professionals helping shape the future of the metal construction industry.
The 2026 honorees represent expertise across manufacturing, roofing, engineering, construction, technology, sales, marketing and education. They were selected based on achievement, leadership, innovation and their overall impact on the industry.
The inaugural group reflects the increasingly diverse skills influencing metal construction.
Honorees include company founders and executives, engineers, contractors, product development specialists, sales and marketing professionals, technology innovators and educators. Their contributions range from improving manufacturing and construction processes to developing digital tools, strengthening workforce education and advancing customer relationships.
Several recipients have also built businesses or progressed from hands-on construction and manufacturing positions into senior leadership roles.
Technology is prominent among the accomplishments recognized in the 2026 program.
Honoree Seth McBride, president and founder of Steel Craft Builders, is using technology and artificial intelligence to improve efficiency, accuracy and project pricing. Kiara Nirghin, CEO and founder of Emanate, is bringing AI capabilities to industrial companies, while RenderDraw CEO and founder Erik Pilgrim is advancing AI-powered takeoffs, connected workflows and 3D visualization for metal construction.
Digital transformation is also producing measurable business results. Zachary Lee of Mill Steel Company helped develop the Mill Steel App, which generated more than $100 million in sales during its first year.
Beyond technology, the honorees demonstrate the importance of education, mentorship, craftsmanship and workforce development.
The group includes professionals expanding contractor training, sharing technical knowledge, developing employees and advocating for greater participation by women in construction.
METALCON says the recognition program is intended to put the accomplishments and impact of the industry’s emerging leaders front and centre as the event celebrates its 35th anniversary.
The inaugural 40 Under 40 class will be formally recognized during METALCON 2026, taking place October 7–9 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida.
Recognition will include profiles on METALCON’s website, promotion through email, social media and trade publications, onsite recognition and an invitation to a Future Leaders Happy Hour.
