The Canadian Construction Association (CCA) is delighted to announce the selection of mentees for the 2020/21 CONtact innovator mentorship program.

More than 17 applications were received for this year’s mentorship program from candidates across Canada. Nine were selected by an independent panel of experts based on their innovative industry solutions. New this year, the top three mentees will also have an opportunity to present their solutions at a ‘Construction Den’ session at the 2021 CCA annual conference – Virtually Unstoppable.

The services range from artificial intelligence (AI) applications to advanced building materials, representing the diverse and technology driven solutions available to the industry.

“With a heightened drive for innovation, the CONtact mentorship initiative provides the perfect platform to nurture innovative solutions to transform the industry,” said Mary Van Buren, CCA president. “We are excited to help the 2020/21 mentees’ products and solutions progress to the next level by increasing their exposure to industry experts.”

The mentees will be matched with industry experts, who will provide feedback on the product features and functionalities through to go-to-market strategies.

CONtact is an initiative with support from the National Research Council of Canada Industrial Research Assistance Program (NRC IRAP).
