Collin Campbell, President of Mattamy Homes’ Alberta Division, has been appointed Chair of the Building Industry and Land Development Association (BILD) Alberta Board of Directors.
Campbell will serve as Board Chair while continuing to lead Mattamy Homes’ operations across Alberta. In his new association role, he will work with BILD Alberta’s board, staff, volunteers and members on priorities including housing affordability, housing supply, innovation and consumer choice.
BILD Alberta represents participants across the province’s residential construction and land development industry, including home builders, land developers, professional renovators, suppliers, skilled trades and consultants.
The association’s Board of Directors provides strategic direction and supports its work on issues affecting housing and residential development across Alberta.
“Collin’s deep industry experience, his steady leadership style and his genuine commitment to community building make him exactly the right person to lead our Board at this important time for the industry,” said Scott Fash, CEO of BILD Alberta.
Fash also highlighted Campbell’s previous service with BILD Calgary Region and BILD Alberta.
Campbell brings more than 25 years of experience in residential development and homebuilding to the role.
As President of Mattamy Homes’ Alberta Division, he oversees the company’s provincial operations, including land acquisition, community design and development, housing design, sales, construction and customer experience.
Campbell previously served as Chair of BILD Calgary Region and has been involved with BILD Alberta for several years.
“I’m honoured to have the opportunity to serve as Chair of BILD Alberta,” Campbell said. “Across Alberta, there are volunteers, members and industry professionals who care deeply about the homes and communities they help bring to life.”
Campbell assumes the role as Alberta continues to experience population growth and demand for new housing.
BILD Alberta identifies housing affordability, supply, innovation and choice among its key industry priorities.
“Alberta is growing, our communities are evolving and the need for housing is real,” Campbell said. “BILD Alberta plays an important role in bringing our industry together around the provincial issues that affect residential construction and land development.”
He added that collaboration and practical solutions will be important as the industry works to increase housing supply and support the development of new communities.
Campbell succeeds Adil Kodian, Executive Vice President of Rohit Group of Companies, who moves into the Past Chair position on the BILD Alberta Board.
Kodian said Campbell assumes the role with an established association, staff team and board while the residential construction industry continues to address significant housing-related issues.
The appointment brings an experienced Alberta homebuilding and development executive to the leadership of an association representing a broad cross-section of companies and professionals involved in creating new homes and communities throughout the province.
