Maple Reinders creates scholarship for George Brown College’s Construction Management Program

MISSISSAUGA, ONNov. 5, 2018 /CNW/ – It is with great pride that Maple Reinders announces it has developed a scholarship at George Brown College in Toronto, ONThe Maple Reinders Leadership in Construction Award was developed to help domestic or international students registered full-time at the school. Specifically, they must be enrolled in the Honours Bachelor of Technology Construction Management program through the Angelo DelZotto School of Construction Management.

In addition to being a full-time student enrolled in the Construction Management program, students must also meet other eligibility criteria including:

  • Demonstrated financial need as determined by the institutions’ policies
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Exhibit passion for their field of study
  • Demonstrate leadership qualities through volunteer community service

Harold Reinders, President and CEO of Maple Reinders, spoke of the long and proud history the company and GeorgeBrown College share: “Having personally sat on the Program Advisory Committee for the Construction Management program for several years, I know first-hand the quality of education that these students are getting through the school.” He added “Throughout the years, Maple has had many students come through George Brown College, sometimes as co-op students who end up becoming full-time hires, or as recent graduates who come in on day one ready to work hard and contribute meaningfully. We couldn’t be prouder to support this next generation of construction leaders.”

The inaugural Maple Reinders Leadership in Construction Award will be presented in April 2019 at the Divisional Student Awards for the Centre for Construction & Engineering Technologies.
