The city claims the work, carried out from 2019 to 2021, resulted in damage to structural steel due to improper application of materials and installation of faulty rubber troughs. While the defects are claimed to pose a danger due to accelerated corrosion of the bridge’s steel, the city states there’s no immediate risk to the public. The companies have yet to respond to these allegations, and the city seeks unspecified damages.
