Orlando, Fla. (Jan. 22, 2018) — IAPMO R&T, North America’s premier third-party certification body for plumbing and mechanical products, IAPMO R&T Lab and IAPMO EGS completed a successful showing at the 2018 Kitchen and Bath Industry Show in Orlando, Fla., one of the largest trade events in the United States bringing together kitchen and bath dealers, designers, architects, remodelers, wholesalers and custom builders for residential and commercial kitchens and bathrooms. IAPMO R&T, Uniform Evaluation Services (UES), and the IAPMO Institute of Building Technology (IBT), represented The IAPMO Group at the NAHB International Builders’ Show (IBS), which was co-located with KBIS at Orlando’s Orange County Convention Center.
The IAPMO Group demonstrated its comprehensive menu of services to more than 600 leading brands in the kitchen and bath industry, including 100 new companies. More than 85,000 visitors attended the two shows, participating in more than 150 education sessions. IBS exhibits represented more than 1,500 manufacturers and suppliers.
The IAPMO R&T and R&T Lab booths experienced a steady volume of visitors seeking information on product testing and conformity assessment services available throughout the North American continent — the United States, Canada and Mexico, the only provider fully accredited to offer such coverage. Prospective clients learned about the marketing advantage and code compliance achieved by procuring third-party product certification through IAPMO R&T, as well as IAPMO EGS’ recognition by OSHA as a Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory (NRTL) providing independent testing and listing for plumbing products incorporating electrical components.
IAPMO R&T is accredited by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) in the United States, the Standards Council of Canada (SCC) in Canada, and entidad mexicana de acreditación, a.c. (ema) and CONAGUA in Mexico. IAPMO R&T’s certification marks of conformity carry the organization’s more than 70-year reputation for integrity and accountability and are readily recognized throughout North America.
IAPMO UES, a fast-growing and highly credible alternative to other providers of building product evaluation reports, promoted its fast-track services for manufacturers seeking unrivaled speed to market for their innovative new building products.
“The IBS was an outstanding show for UES again this year,” said Richard Beck, UES Vice President. “We heard from countless clients expressing their pleasure with our customer service while pointing with great confidence to the economic forecast. We also engaged with numerous prospective clients who were pleased to discover the difference UES could make to their bottom line.”
IAPMO IBT, a trusted name for independent testing, research, and technical services in the construction products industry, shared with visitors such services as research and development, training, quality assurance, failure analysis, and witness/field testing.
“Existing clients confirmed how pleased they are with the effortless transition from testing to certification,” said Jay Mishra, Vice President of Building Product Testing, “and prospective clients expressed keen interest in taking advantage of the same opportunity.”
