Heat pump interest highest in Atlantic but bigger grants not yet making a difference

Despite the Canadian federal government’s efforts to increase incentives for adopting environmentally friendly heat pumps, there hasn’t been a noticeable surge in public interest. The government had increased the maximum grant from $10,000 to $15,000 in the fall to encourage Canadians to replace oil furnaces with electric heat pumps. However, this initiative did not result in a significant uptick in applications or interest.
