Ground Breakers Stage at CONEXPO-CON/AGG to Spotlight the Future of Construction

CONEXPO-CON/AGG will debut the Ground Breakers Stage at its 2026 event, creating a new thought-leadership platform focused on technologies, business models, and leadership strategies reshaping the construction industry. Presented by Sherwin-Williams, the stage will run March 3–6, 2026, in Las Vegas and feature experts from construction, mining, transportation, and technology sectors.

Located in West Hall 108–110, the Ground Breakers Stage will showcase real-world innovation already being applied across jobsites. Keynote presentations include industry leaders such as John Deere, Autodesk, Caterpillar, and Amazon Web Services, with sessions livestreamed in the Community Zone to maximize accessibility.

Human-Centered AI and Autonomy

Day one centers on human-focused autonomy and artificial intelligence in construction. Sessions will explore intelligent jobsite connectivity, autonomous drilling, remote mining operations, and executive leadership strategies for integrating AI into business operations. Presentations from Geotab, Luck Stone, Epiroc USA, and Command Alkon will address data-driven decision-making, workforce engagement, safety, and long-term value creation. The focus is clear: AI and automation must strengthen, not replace, the workforce.

Robotics, Digital Services and Immersive Training

Day two shifts toward robotics, connected equipment ecosystems, and workforce development. Industry innovators including Gravis Robotics, Mack Trucks, Volvo Group North America, and ForgeFX Simulations will highlight robotic intelligence in earthmoving, integrated digital services, and immersive VR-based heavy equipment training. These sessions underscore the shift from standalone machinery to integrated jobsite solutions that enhance productivity, reduce risk, and accelerate workforce readiness.

On day three, connectivity becomes the central theme. Sessions featuring Procore and contractor leaders will examine how connected systems streamline operations, enhance collaboration, and scale automation. A global technology trends panel will explore robotics, cybersecurity, drones, and AI shaping construction worldwide. The discussions emphasize that connected jobsites are no longer optional—they are becoming operational standards.

Infrastructure Policy, Recognition and Jobsite Power

The final day expands the conversation to infrastructure policy, innovation recognition, and future-ready power systems. Programming includes a forward-looking U.S. infrastructure investment discussion, the Next Level Awards recognizing breakthrough equipment and technology innovations, and a closing session on smarter, cleaner, and connected jobsite power solutions led by Erick Schram of ANA Inc.

Overall, the Ground Breakers Stage at CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2026 positions the event as a hub for applied innovation in construction technology. By focusing on artificial intelligence, robotics, connectivity, infrastructure investment, and workforce development, the platform delivers practical insight for contractors, fleet managers, executives, and technology leaders preparing for the next era of construction.
