Green Building Festival 2019: Simple vs Complex
How do we simultaneously design for the extremes of a changed climate and build in a way to reverse those changes? How about building comfort without HVAC, integrating movable envelopes that collect energy, using 3D printed concrete and other innovative ideas? At the 2019 Green Building Festival, a range of expert designers and builders will look at both simple and complex strategies, techniques and technologies to inspire us to reach for the goal of zero carbon.
FEATURED PRESENTER:
Benjamin Dillenburger
‘Digital Pathways to Sustainable Buildings’: How the combination of computer-aided design methods and digital manufacturing processes such as large-format 3D printing can allow us to create a more sustainable and rich built environment in the future.
Benjamin is Principal Investigator at the Swiss National Competence Centre of Research in Digital Fabrication (NCCR DFAB), and an Assistant Professor for Digital Building Technologies, at the Institute of Technology In Architecture in ETH Zurich.
