Graham Selected to Build Bridgeland-Riverside Multimodal Pedestrian Bridge in Calgary

Graham has been selected as the General Contractor for the Bridgeland-Riverside Multimodal Pedestrian Bridge project in Calgary, Alberta. Delivered in partnership with the City of Calgary and the Calgary General Hospital Legacy Fund Review Committee, the new bridge will span the Bow River, connecting the Bridgeland-Riverside community with St. Patrick’s Island and the city’s extensive pathway network. Designed to support pedestrians, cyclists, and other active transportation users, the bridge will enhance safety, accessibility, and sustainable mobility while improving access to public spaces and reconnecting residents with the river valley. Construction is scheduled to begin in 2026, with completion expected in summer 2028. Once finished, the project will strengthen community connectivity, encourage active transportation, and contribute to Calgary’s long-term infrastructure and sustainability goals, creating a safer and more accessible transportation link for residents and visitors alike.
