Construction has commenced on the PR 311 bridge near New Bothwell, nine months after a fire destroyed the original bridge. This Manitoba government-funded project, worth approximately $16 million, is being executed by Graham Construction and Engineering of Winnipeg. The bridge is a critical connector in the area, impacting local traffic and business. The construction, which started in February 2024, is expected to be substantially complete by December 2024, with total completion in summer 2025. Local councilor Travis Doerksen acknowledges the community impact and expresses satisfaction with the province’s maintenance support during this period.
