Field Materials has launched a groundbreaking Inventory module as part of its AI-powered construction procurement platform, revolutionizing how construction teams manage and access materials. Unlike traditional ERP systems, this mobile-first solution is built specifically for field crews and service technicians, offering a streamlined, intuitive interface that enables real-time visibility into warehouse inventory and instant requisitioning directly from the job site.
The Inventory module fully integrates with Field Materials’ existing suite—quotes, orders, invoices, and receipts—creating a seamless, end-to-end procurement workflow. Field users can check stock, request materials, and track deliveries directly from their mobile devices, reducing reliance on manual communication and eliminating delays. Warehouse managers receive and process requests, schedule deliveries or pickups, and keep field teams informed with real-time updates.
The system tracks all inventory transactions, including restock orders, job site leftovers, manual adjustments, and inter-warehouse transfers. For companies with requisition approval processes, the module allows office teams to split orders between vendors and warehouses, with Field Materials automatically flagging in-stock items to optimize sourcing.
Additionally, field service technicians can check out tools and materials from vans using the mobile app, assigning them directly to service jobs for accurate tracking and accountability.
“Adoption of inventory tools in ERPs has been limited due to poor usability in the field,” said Victor Gane, Co-founder and COO of Field Materials. “We’re changing that with a modern, mobile-first solution that’s deeply integrated with our AI procurement tools.”
“Field Materials Inventory is a game changer,” said David Clemons, Director of Self Perform at Dempsey Construction Co. “It finally connects procurement and inventory in a way that empowers field teams.”
This launch marks a major step forward in digital transformation for the construction industry, giving contractors the tools they need to enhance field productivity, minimize delays, and reduce material waste. By bridging the gap between field teams and the back office, Field Materials is enabling smarter, faster, and more accurate procurement and inventory decisions.
