Fast + Epp opens new office in Toronto

Fast + Epp, a leading structural engineering firm, recently announced the expansion of its North American footprint with the launch of a new office in Toronto. This strategic move underscores the company’s dedication to delivering innovative and bold structural engineering solutions throughout the continent. By establishing a presence in Eastern Canada, Fast + Epp aims to solidify its project delivery capabilities, focusing on sectors such as cultural, educational, sports, civic, and transportation.

Robert Jackson, a Partner at Fast + Epp, emphasized the importance of the Toronto hub, stating, “Our commitment to pushing the boundaries of structural design and enhancing architectural creativity is at the heart of our operations. The Toronto office represents a pivotal step forward in our mission. It will allow us to provide unparalleled service quality on our design projects in Eastern Canada.”

Among the high-profile projects currently undertaken by Fast + Epp in the region are Limberlost Place at George Brown College, the Ontario Secondary School Teachers’ Federation Headquarters, the New Brunswick Museum revitalization, and Ādisōke, a collaborative initiative between the Ottawa Public Library and Library and Archives Canada.

Pierre Koch has been appointed as the Associate Principal to lead the Toronto office. Bringing over 25 years of local industry experience, Koch’s expertise and leadership are expected to greatly contribute to the firm’s success. He will head a dynamic team of engineers and technicians, supported by Fast + Epp’s extensive North American and digital infrastructure.

Jackson also highlighted the vibrant design opportunities in Toronto, expressing enthusiasm for contributing to the region’s architectural landscape. “Toronto’s dynamic environment offers a rich ground for architectural innovation, especially in projects that feature exposed structures,” he remarked. “We’re excited to be a part of this creative community, working alongside designers who are equally committed to reducing the environmental impact of our structures.”

Fast + Epp’s expansion into Toronto not only reinforces its commitment to excellence in structural engineering but also marks a significant step in its journey to foster collaboration and innovation across North America. With a strong focus on sustainable design and engineering excellence, Fast + Epp is poised to contribute significantly to the architectural evolution of Eastern Canada and beyond.
