The permit acquisition involved specialized input from esteemed engineers CEP Forensics, engaged by Evertrust, and the structural engineering team Kalos Engineering Inc. from the City of Welland, conducting a thorough assessment of the entire structure. The official Building Permit received on December 13, 2023, signifies the commencement of a comprehensive three-phase action plan encompassing deconstruction, replacement, and final construction of Upper Vista Welland.

Acknowledging this milestone as a significant breakthrough for the project’s progression, the on-site Project Manager for Construction Management emphasized its role in reinstating the project on track, ensuring the delivery of top-notch quality to all purchasers. Cleanup and coordination of trades for mobilization are ongoing, moving from structural to main systems, electrical, mechanical, and finishing crews.
