Civil engineering firm Équipe Laurence has opened its 10th regional office in Quebec, establishing a new location in Quebec City’s Sainte-Foy area as the company expands its presence across Eastern Quebec.
The new office, located at 925 Avenue de la Grande Allée West, Suite 350-E, builds on Équipe Laurence’s existing regional presence in Rimouski, which serves the Bas-Saint-Laurent, Gaspésie and Côte-Nord regions.
The expansion positions the firm to pursue additional civil engineering, infrastructure and real estate development opportunities throughout the Quebec City metropolitan area and surrounding regions.
Équipe Laurence President Alexandre Latour said the firm’s multidisciplinary experience has been developed through major real estate developments, large-scale infrastructure projects and work performed in more than 150 cities and municipalities.
The Quebec City office is expected to help Équipe Laurence develop new relationships with real estate developers, homebuilders, contractors and municipal authorities.
The firm also sees opportunities extending beyond the Capitale-Nationale region into Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean, where Équipe Laurence has secured a major multidisciplinary assignment at the Mont-Bélu ski resort in La Baie.
Équipe Laurence will oversee the complete redevelopment of Mont-Bélu’s artificial snow production and management system.
The multidisciplinary project involves civil, electrical, structural and mechanical engineering as well as architecture and landscape architecture.
The assignment demonstrates the range of services Équipe Laurence intends to bring to clients as it grows its regional network.
Équipe Laurence is also contributing to the development of Sommet Timber, a new ski area at Mont-Tremblant Resort.
The $42.5 million project is scheduled to open for the 2027–2028 season and will add nearly 25 hectares to the resort’s existing ski terrain. The expansion is intended to support continued development of the Versant Soleil sector and the arrival of Club Med.
Équipe Laurence is responsible for plans and specifications for infrastructure within the new sector, including trail layout, snowmaking systems and associated civil infrastructure.
According to Latour, Équipe Laurence and Mont-Tremblant Resort have maintained a working relationship spanning more than 30 years and involving numerous projects supporting the resort’s development.
Équipe Laurence also serves as a qualified supplier to Hydro-Québec, providing specialized resources for the supervision of civil engineering construction and rehabilitation projects across Quebec.
The firm views this work as another demonstration of its civil engineering capabilities as it pursues opportunities associated with major infrastructure investments throughout the province.
With numerous infrastructure projects and construction sites anticipated in the Capitale-Nationale region, Équipe Laurence expects its new Quebec City office to create additional opportunities for the firm.
Along with major public and private sector projects, Équipe Laurence plans to support smaller municipalities with infrastructure development, including assistance related to project financing and grant applications.
By combining its expanding regional network with multidisciplinary engineering capabilities, Équipe Laurence is positioning the new Quebec City office to support municipal infrastructure, real estate development and major construction projects throughout Eastern Quebec.
