EMA and ENERGY STAR to Hold Webinar on State and Local Energy Policies

The Energy Management Association (EMA) will host a new AIA-approved webinar with ENERGY STAR on State and Local Energy Policies: Trends in Energy Benchmarking and Disclosure on December 2nd.

The trend continues for state and local governments to require commercial building owners to benchmark their buildings using ENERGY STAR’s Portfolio Manager, and to submit the results for public disclosure. These disclosure laws are driving demand for both benchmarking services as well as efficiency projects to help building owners improve upon the performance levels revealed through benchmarking. This webinar will provide viewers with the resources to identify disclosure laws by location, type and requirements.

Brendan Hall, Program Manager with ENERGY STAR stated that attendees will “learn about the different flavors of state and local policies affecting existing commercial and multifamily buildings and the opportunities for A&E firms they create around compliance and improvement support.”
