No Special Technology Needed!

Some manufacturers have attempted to distinguish a place in the market by citing special technologies contributing to the cooler temperature of deck surface coverings in the last few years, but no special, patented technology is needed for a cooler deck surface; it is simply a byproduct of lighter colours.

Duradek cool deck surface claims are substantiated by a combination of internal heat testing and Atlas Material Solar Reflectance Index (SRI) testing. The SRI is used to determine the effect of the reflectance and emittance on the surface temperature.
