Developer will add as many as 300 new homes to Goderich

Set in the south end of Goderich, a residential development of nearly 100 acres by Coast includes real estate lots with 1,300 feet of a view of Lake Huron.

Coast Goderich plans to develop upwards of 300 units in that space and aims to have a model home constructed by spring 2021.

“I’m really excited to be out in Goderich,” said Rob Wood, developer of the project, whose family owned business has owned that plot of land for a number of years.

“We are excited to be part of a town that’s always looking forward and always trying to get better.”

Homefield Group of Royal LePage Heartland Realty will play a part in the family-focused residential development.

According to the Homefield Group, the residential development will also include a three-acre lakefront park, a waterfront trail, and sprawling green-space with parkette.

Building in phases, this residential community will start with lower-density single detached homes in the block bordering the waterfront. Many of the homes will back onto lush green-space, while subsequent phases will potentially present the opportunity for high-density housing units.

Goderich-area builder Heykoop Construction, owned by Nick Heykoop has been contracted to engage local sub-trades and suppliers throughout the building process.
