The AABC Commissioning Group (ACG) has opened applications for the CxEnergy Rising Professionals Scholarship, giving engineering and technical students an opportunity to attend the CxEnergy Conference & Expo and connect with professionals working in building commissioning, energy management and building technology.
CxEnergy 2027 will take place April 27–30, 2027, at Mandalay Bay Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The scholarship is designed to introduce students pursuing careers related to the built environment to industry experts, technical education and professional networking opportunities that can support their career development.
Applications are open until December 4, 2026, with scholarship recipients expected to be notified in late January 2027.
ACG will sponsor scholarship recipients’ attendance at CxEnergy 2027 rather than distributing scholarship funds directly to students.
Recipients will receive:
Together, the conference, career fair and mentorship opportunities give participating students exposure to both the technical and professional sides of the building commissioning industry.
Applicants must be actively enrolled at an accredited college or university and have completed at least one year of a bachelor’s degree program in a technical field related to the built environment.
Eligible areas of study can include:
The broad eligibility criteria make the program relevant to students considering careers across engineering, construction, building performance, HVAC, facilities and energy management.
One of the key benefits of the scholarship is direct exposure to professionals working in building commissioning and energy management.
CxEnergy brings together building owners, commissioning providers, energy managers, engineers, facility professionals and building technology specialists to explore practices and technologies affecting building performance.
Scholarship recipients will also have access to the CxEnergy 2027 Career Fair and Mentor Program, providing opportunities to develop professional connections while learning more about potential career paths.
Continued access to the ACG Essential Cx Webinar Series following the conference extends that learning through the remainder of 2027.
The application deadline is December 4, 2026.
Successful applicants are expected to be notified in late January 2027, ahead of CxEnergy 2027 in Las Vegas from April 27–30, 2027.
Students, universities, internship programs and student organizations serving technical disciplines related to the built environment are encouraged to share the opportunity with eligible candidates.
The CxEnergy Rising Professionals Scholarship extends that educational mission to students preparing to enter engineering, construction, energy management and other technical careers across the built environment.
