The Global Construction Review estimates around 73 billion USD were tied up in claims and disputes across international big construction in August 2021. Devine also highlighted the importance of leadership in embracing AI to foster innovation and efficiency within organizations.



EllisDon Partners with J2 Innovations to Propel Smart Building Solutions

EllisDon, a global construction and building services company, announces a new partnership between its Infrastructure Services & Technology Division and J2 Innovations, a leading platform provider for smart buildings, smart equipment, and the Internet of Things (IoT). The collaboration will see EllisDon utilize J2 Innovations’ FIN Framework, a flexible open software framework, enabling original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) to create automation and IoT applications quickly and efficiently. This partnership will enable EllisDon’s IST Division to further develop their digital twin application, EKO, which is focused on integrating all data points within a facility to optimize the built environment and enhance the end user’s experience.

Blackwell 3D Appoints New Chief Financial Officer

Blackwell 3D, a pioneer in 3D house printing technology, has appointed Krishnendu Chatterjee as the new Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer. Chatterjee, formerly CFO at Metapixel Global Information Technology Consultants and Senior VP at Credit Suisse, brings extensive experience in financial planning and strategic growth. CEO Mohammed Saif Zaveri highlights Chatterjee’s role in scaling the company during its rapid growth phase in the 3D printing sector.



Buildots unveils AI-powered forecasting tool

Buildots has launched the Delay Forecast feature, an AI-powered tool designed to predict and mitigate delay risks in construction projects. Integrated into Buildots’ main dashboard, it provides detailed insights into the root causes of delays, helping project managers to proactively address potential issues and improve performance. Beta testing showed a 50% reduction in delay times.


AI Venture Studio’s Investment in SpatialGPT: What to Expect

AI Venture Studio, InnovateGPT, has invested AUD 5.1 million in SpatialGPT, a new AI company aimed at transforming spatial environments in construction, education, healthcare, and retail sectors. Led by former Microsoft executives, SpatialGPT will leverage advanced technologies like Microsoft Azure OpenAI and Apple Vision Pro. TrueLook, a leader in construction camera technology, has appointed Roger Yarrow as Chief Executive Officer. Yarrow, a co-founder and former Chief Operating Officer, has significantly contributed to TrueLook’s technical and operational advancements. His prior experience includes key roles at IBM and Xerox. Yarrow aims to enhance TrueLook’s market presence and product offerings, focusing on advanced construction cameras and analytics.

Intelliwave Technologies’ SiteSense® Mobile Materials Management solution is now available on the SAP Store.
