Lidar, a remote sensing technology, is vital for various fields like emergency response, forestry, infrastructure management, and autonomous vehicles. The event, founded by a coalition including USGS and NOAA, aims to raise awareness and foster collaboration. The global lidar market, valued at $2.6 billion in 2023, is projected to reach over $12 billion by 2032.
