The Southern Interior Construction Association (SICA) recently announced that nominations are now open for the Industry Awards of Excellence 2024.

The 2024 SICA Industry Awards of Excellence offers NEW categories for a greater number of projects to be showcased. Each nomination is judged based on various criteria, including innovation, design, sustainability, and overall impact on the construction industry.

Recognizing and celebrating outstanding efforts can inspire excellence and drive progress in the field. We want to ensure that each deserving construction company of the Southern Interior of BC gets a chance to shine and be acknowledged for their remarkable efforts. We have carefully reviewed existing award categories and collaborated with industry experts to craft these new awards, ensuring they align with our core values and the challenges and opportunities facing our industry today.

Nominations for the Building Awards will be accepted from members and non-members. Project nomination must be completed and submitted by 12 p.m. on December 15, 2023. Each project may only be submitted into one building award category.

The Building Awards will recognize construction projects completed between July 1st, 2022, and August 31st, 2023.

These awards recognize tenant improvement/renovations, new building/additions, community enhancement, and industrial, commercial, and institutional projects within the Southern Interior of BC. In addition to the project awards, there are nomination categories for Leadership, Innovation, and Safety.

All of the finalists will be recognized at the Awards dinner on April 24, 2024, where the winners are presented with a trophy.

Apart from the Building and Leadership Award categories, the Member of the Year Award is presented to an individual whose exceptional contributions to the construction industry go above and beyond the ordinary expectations of daily business, recognizing their outstanding actions and impact.
