Building Transformations has announced its reimagined U.S. Industry Summit, The Future of Design and Construction: An Immersive Innovation Showcase, to be hosted at the Diverge Innovation Center in Phoenix, Arizona. Scheduled for April 21–22, 2026, this two‑day event will challenge conventional conference formats and deliver a hands‑on, practitioner‑centric experience designed to accelerate innovation across the architecture, engineering, construction, and operations (AECO) community.
Industry professionals have expressed fatigue with traditional conference formats that emphasize passive learning. Yet the need to gather, connect, and tackle shared challenges has never been greater. In response, Building Transformations has transformed its summit into a dynamic Innovation Showcase—featuring executive roundtables, guided technology demonstrations, collaboration sessions, and networking receptions—to deliver actionable insight and foster meaningful connections.
The summit opens with a private, invite‑only Senior Executive Forum, where a selection of thought leaders from across North America will convene to explore the current and future state of the AECO industry. Participants will engage in strategic discussions, evaluate emerging industry trends, and build roadmaps to address evolving project delivery challenges. The forum will strengthen professional networks and establish shared priorities for innovation adoption.
Following the forum, all registered attendees are invited to attend the Welcome Reception at Diverge Innovation Center, featuring drinks, light refreshments, and opportunities to connect with peers in a relaxed setting.
Designed for VDC and BIM teams, designers, general contractors, trades, and suppliers, Day 2 begins with a series of keynote addresses and an executive panel addressing shifts in technology adoption—particularly around artificial intelligence, automation, and digital delivery. Attendees will gain insights into how these trends are reshaping workflows and project outcomes.
After lunch, the summit transitions to guided Technology Demonstrations—dynamic, hands-on experiences where participants engage with robotics, field technologies, AI, and automation tools. This isn’t a typical exhibitor floor; it’s an interactive showcase featuring dedicated presentations with real-world use cases and solutions addressing today’s infrastructure challenges. Attendees are encouraged to test, question, and learn directly from technologies in action, gaining practical insights they can bring back to their teams.
The day concludes with Collaboration Sessions, structured small‑group discussions that help attendees synthesize insights and identify practical strategies to bring back to their organizations—followed by an On‑Site Closing Reception featuring food trucks and networking opportunities.
The full lineup of speakers, demonstrators, and sponsors for the event will be available on the Building Transformations website. Attendees are encouraged to check https://www.buildingtransformations.org/events/phoenix2026 for the latest updates and detailed program information.
