Building Transformations is proud to promote its flagship event: The Future of Design and Construction: Collaboration, Implementation, and Adoption Industry Summit, taking place October 15–17, 2025, in downtown Toronto.

For the first time, three of Building Transformations’ annual gatherings—the Annual Summit, Annual General Meeting (AGM), and Innovation Spotlight Awards Show—will be hosted together as part of one dynamic, multi-day experience.

Hosted at the Chestnut Conference Centre, with special events at DMZ Sandbox and Limberlost Place, the summit offers concentrated value, high-impact programming, and meaningful industry connections—all in one place, at one time.

The summit program will feature site walks, an opening reception at DMZ Sandbox, and a full day of keynotes, panels, technology exhibits, and breakout sessions. The Annual General Meeting will take place at midday and is open to all members to attend, vote on important matters, and receive updates on the organization’s strategic direction. On the evening of October 16, the Innovation Spotlight Awards Show will be held at Limberlost Place, celebrating excellence and leadership in digital transformation across the built environment. Designed with flexibility in mind, attendees can customize their participation by selecting the events, site walks, and sessions that align with their goals and availability.

This multi-day in-person summit will unite technology innovators, designers, decision-makers, and industry leaders to collaboratively confront one of the most persistent challenges in the built environment: turning innovation into implementation.

The Toronto Summit promises a high-impact day of industry expertise, featuring leading voices shaping the future of Canada’s built environment:

  • Aleb Ab Iorwerth, Deputy Chief Economist, Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC)
  • Anna Robak, Director, Research & Innovation, WSP Canada
  • Ian McDermott, Vice President, Facilities and Capital Development, Sinai Health

These thought leaders will provide candid, forward-looking perspectives on the future of infrastructure, housing, and healthcare—and the innovations required to meet growing demands across Canada.

Breakout Sessions and Presenting Organizations

In addition to keynotes and panels, the afternoon breakout sessions will feature a dynamic lineup of industry-leading presenters from: EllisDon, Turner Fleischer, Canam, Landlogic, Smart Innovation, PCL, and many more.

Sessions will include interactive Q&As and are designed to connect attendees directly with the technologies, processes, and real-world case studies that are driving results in the field today.

Site Walk Highlights

Attendees will have the opportunity to join exclusive, guided site walks showcasing real-world innovation on display across Toronto:

  • Transit Project Tour: A behind-the-scenes look at a major GTA transit infrastructure development, highlighting collaborative delivery and digital integration.
  • Hospital Project Tour: A walkthrough of a leading healthcare construction project in downtown Toronto, demonstrating best-in-class project execution and coordination.
  • Mass Timber Project Tour – Limberlost Place: A return visit to one of Canada’s most celebrated mass timber buildings – now complete – highlighting advanced prefabrication, sustainability, and precision field technologies.

More site walk details will be released online in the coming weeks.
