January 1, 2024

Brantford firm has prominent role in major redevelopment project in Niagara

+VG Architects, in collaboration with Pearle Hospitality, will lead the $200 million transformation of the historic Toronto Power Generating Station into a luxurious five-star hotel overlooking Niagara Falls. This redevelopment project, supervised by +VG Architects, plans to restore the National Historic Site, adding various amenities like restaurants, public viewing areas, a craft brewery, wellness spa, theater, museum, and event spaces. The architect, Paul Sapounzi, emphasizes the significance of preserving this Canadian national heritage site and aims to implement restoration measures for its protection. This significant undertaking aims to offer a world-class visitor experience, including the unique distinction of hosting the only five-star hotel in the vicinity of Niagara Falls, aligning with the firm’s commitment to sustainable building practices and energy conservation initiatives.
