Brampton Considers Contractor Licensing to Protect Residents

Brampton council is addressing the issue of unlicensed and unscrupulous contractors exploiting residents by considering a city-led licensing program. Council members acknowledged past challenges with licensing programs but expressed optimism about creating effective regulations. The planning commissioner welcomed the proposal, emphasizing its timeliness alongside other licensing efforts.
