Hitek Equipment is also reducing propane dependence with an electric-heated screed powered by the host loader. Meanwhile, Cummins introduced its next-generation X15 Off-highway Engine, built on the HELM fuel-agnostic platform. The system uses a common engine architecture that can support diesel, natural gas, hydrogen and other fuels through tailored components. Together, these innovations demonstrate how construction equipment manufacturers are giving contractors more practical pathways toward lower-carbon operations while maintaining uptime, efficiency and cost control.
