AABC to Hold TAB Talk Webinar on Airflow Measurement & Control

The Associated Air Balance Council (AABC) has announced a new AIA-approved webinar in their TAB Talk series to take place on July 20, which will discuss a case study of a multi-floor university building project. The building has central AHUs serving VAVs with induction diffusers, for which the airflow could not be measured directly with a flow hood. This presentation will discuss the required collaboration and input from the owner, designer, contractor, equipment manufacturer, and Cx provider.

Learning Objectives:

  • Explain operating principles of induction diffusers
  • Describe issues related to balancing induction diffusers
  • Discuss effective coordination with project stakeholders on technical issues and expectations
  • Describe alternative methods of measuring airflow in induction diffusers

When: July 20, 2022, 2:00 PM Eastern / 1:00 PM Central / 12:00 PM Mountain / 11:00 AM Pacific

Cost: Free for AABC, ACG, and EMA members; $39 for non-members

Sponsored by Evergreen Telemetry. Evergreen Telemetry manufactures the unique Wrist ReporterTM, a 6-in-1 meter for Air & Water Pressure / Velocity / Flow / Temperature / Humidity / CO2.   The patented Wrist ReporterTM is used for air balancing, commissioning, and troubleshooting in commercial buildings, cleanrooms, and residences.  The Wrist ReporterTM displays real-time results from as many as ten wireless sensors at ten different locations.  Applications include duct traverse, flow damper setting, ventilation calculations, duct pressures, room-to-room pressure hierarchies, coil performance testing, hood certification, and wireless datalogging.  This high-productivity instrument makes TAB and Cx Faster, Easier, Safer.
