Renovation and Construction at the Port of Trois-Rivières

Pomerleau is leading the modernization of the Port of Trois-Rivières, including the demolition and reconstruction of Wharf 17 and the construction of a new Wharf 16. The project enhances infrastructure resilience against extreme weather and port constraints through a 360-meter combined wall, 150-foot-long piles, and extensive use of recycled materials. Key challenges include coordinating earthworks, protecting aquatic ecosystems, and managing dust, noise, and water turbidity. Innovative solutions like 3D/4D modeling, eco-friendly measures, and optimized workflows ensure sustainability. With 90% of demolished concrete reused, this project sets a new standard for urban, sustainable port development.
