RegenCities is a research initiative that seeks to define the regenerative city—a concept of urban development built on a restorative relationship with the environment. Moving beyond sustainability, the initiative seeks to transform our understanding of the built environment—specifically urban centers—from a linear construct to one that is circular.
With a network of uncommon collaborators, the RegenCities initiative is identifying, targeting, and developing projects that can make communities more equitable, efficient, and livable. A regenerative city facilitates equitable prosperity. RegenCities seeks to develop a new model for equitable economic development by leveraging existing community assets.
