On March 28, 2021, during the opening session of the ACI Virtual Concrete Convention, ACI President Jeffrey W. Coleman and Aramco Senior Vice President of Technical Services Ahmad A. Al-Sa’adi jointly announced the formation of NEx: An ACI Center of Excellence for Nonmetallic Building Materials. NEx is a catalyst for global collaboration on the use of nonmetallic building and construction materials in areas of education, awareness, research, standards development, and adoption.
