How Robotic Manufacturing is Shaping Calgary’s Future

The Robocraft project is a collaborative effort between the University of Calgary’s School of Architecture, Planning and Landscape (SAPL) and the City of Calgary. This three-year initiative explores how robotic manufacturing can support urban development—enhancing accessibility, creating jobs, and reducing environmental impact.

Housed at the Wave Tech Centre, Robocraft tests applications like 3D printing, wood milling, and urban design to explore how robotics can benefit city infrastructure. Through this partnership, researchers, students, and city planners are working together to develop innovative solutions for Calgary’s future.
