Azerbaijan’s $100 Billion Failed Islands Project

From dozens of man-made islands, to a massive one km tall skyscraper that would have been the tallest building in the world, these are Azerbaijan’s ambitious Khazar Islands! But today, more than a decade since it was unveiled to the public, only a few undeveloped islands and unfinished buildings remain on site. So, what actually happened here? Have the islands completely been abandoned?
