With the removal of “north plug”, the new Don River can flow freely into Lake Ontario and a new island is born. This historic feat of engineering is made possible through tri-government collaboration. Flood protection is the catalyst to revitalize the eastern waterfront, an area that will be home to over 100,000 people and a destination for 97,000 jobs.
